ヒアリの女王が大阪の南港で発見されました。ここでは先月フィリピンからのコンテナからアカカミアリ数頭が発見され薬剤処理が行われたことがニュースになっていたが、今回、地面からヒアリの女王および働きアリ約50頭の死骸が見つかった。営巣を始めていた初期コロニーの可能性。昨日環境省が公表。写真は今朝、新聞でそのニュースを読む男性。こういう写真を撮っておくこと、たぶんとても大事。

A queen of red imported fire ant Solenopsis invicta was detected in a container yard of Osaka. There several workers of S. geminata had been detected last month and insecticide had been treated. After that the S. invicta queen was found dead together with 50 workers. They were probably a founding colony. The Ministory of the Environment published this information yesterday. I took photo of a man reading this news on the train this morning.
