川沿いは水が豊富にあるので、蚊もたくさんいました。常に数十匹の蚊に囲まれている状況で、日本の虫よけを持参していましたが、効果が弱く、写真のとおり刺されてしまいました。最近は日本でも有効成分の濃い商品が売られ始めており、そちらを持っていくべきでした。旅行代理店の方のお話によると、「アルゼンチンは通常、それほど多くの蚊はコントロールされているのかいないのですが、先週中頃から、通常は南のパタゴニア地方に生息している蚊がブエノスアイレス周辺で大発生している状況となっており、ブエノスアイレス市内でも多くの蚊に悩まされている状況でございます。」だそうです。

There were so many mosquitoes around Parana River. I was always surrounded by dozens of them and bitten so many times. Japanese mosquito repellent products typically contain low concentrations of active ingredients thus limited efficacy. Accordin to my travel agent, "there are usually few mosquitoes in Argentina but there has been an outbreak of a mosquito species typically seen in southern Patagonia since last week.
